"Teach us to sell this to our boss. You've got an hour."
That was the challenge from a group of enthusiasts this week. They'd experienced the power of Clean Language themselves. Now they wanted to convince their organisation to invest in it - and in me.
So, I’ve put together a lightning-fast “How to sell Clean” training. I’m delivering on Friday - wish me luck!
Here’s what I reckon they’ll need to close the deal:
1. A clear understanding of the person’s and organisation’s pressing problems
In the person’s own words
In their context
With their priorities
2. Specific benefits they can confidently explain
How Clean Language solves the problems
What changes people will see
What makes it different from alternatives
3. Supporting evidence that matters to the person/organisation
Research relevant to their field
Case studies from their sector
Credibility markers (published resources, global practitioner community)
4. Concrete examples showing difference
Before/after scenarios in their context
Written "this-not-that" comparisons
Testimonials from similar roles/sectors
5. Opportunities for direct experience
Confidence to offer "Would you like to try it right now?"
Competence to ask a Clean Language question or two
A starter question up your sleeve
6. Clear next steps
An offer - an immediate action the person can take
Clean Language questions to explore "What would you like to have happen next?"
A flexible implementation pathway that fits the person’s and organisation’s needs.
The key is to balance Clean principles with clear communication about value:
Stay Clean when exploring their situation
Be direct when explaining benefits
Let them experience the difference if possible
Make it easy to move forward
Thank you Judy! I'll be moving forward with "CleanEFT" like we talked about in the video we did together.
Emotional Freedom Techniques and Clean Language are a perfect match, since we're recommended to use the client's words already.
But Clean is much more specific. It's also great for those practitioners who want to feel even more confident in knowing what to say in a session.
If I were at my best in sharing Clean EFT with my colleagues it would look like supportive and fun zoom workshops for now. Maybe a course like kajabi (although I'm already signed up with a platform called MemberVault).
