When my body and the environment are doing the thinking, rather than ‘give them a bit more thought’, I leave them alone to do the thinking… zzzzzzzz

Thanks Judie, for highlighting this new piece of research. It goes so well with what we know form David Grove’s Clean Language and Space processes.
It is mind stretching, and your post is a good point to start musing about when the body is interacting with the environment to get stuff done. The mind can watch 🙂

A possible reason that a ball player can get to a ball say in tennis when its coming to him at 120mph is because he is relying on deja vu. This is well explained by British Writer Anthony Peake in his book The Daemon a guide to your extroridnary secret self. Anthony hypothesises that we are in a simulation and that deja vu is a glitch that gives us insight into the nature of reality which is virtual and which we have lived many times before.
Having worked in pro sport myself first doing pro sport and then wearing my sports psychology act it can be explained by what I call The Law of Least Effort a Law that is well known to hypnotists. This basically shows us how through constant drills on the training pitch, we teach the body to react, no thinking is allowed we just do it like the ad says. Here is Bernardo Kastrup explaining something similar in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwOXgOx1XRI
